6160 系列船用柴油機是濰坊柴油機廠生産多年的多品種、多用途的中速船舶動力機械,以其結構簡單、操作靈便、性能可靠、維修方便、經濟指標好等諸多優點,深受廣大用戶的喜愛。經過多年來的不斷改進和優化,6160 柴油機在經濟性,可靠性,操作便捷性等方面得到不斷提升,2003年全新一代 6160 柴油機——R6160 系列正式推出。 R6160 系列船用柴油機是濰柴綜合了船機市場的普遍需求,在提高性能,降低能耗,方便操作、以人爲本的思想基礎上設計而成。主要改動包括:在原來的 6160 基礎上重新對燃油系統、進排氣系統、冷卻系統、潤滑系統、啓動系統進行了徹底的優化匹配和提升;採用了濕式油底殼,電動預供機油泵,電馬達啓動方式,機帶海淡水熱交換器等先進的配置;繼承了原 6160 系列的優點,提升性能,使機器的燃油耗大大降低,最低燃油耗不大於 205g/kWh;簡化了操作,開機時不需人工泵機油。全新概念的 R6160 系列柴油機達到了國內領先水平。 船用柴油機分爲左機和右機,便於同艙位雙機的操縱。面對飛輪端,右機的飛輪旋向爲逆時針,左機的飛輪旋向爲順時針。採用單機時,一般使用右機。
